NFL Player Arrested

Cedric Benson, running back for the Cincinnati Bengals was arrested earlier this morning in Texas and charged with assault causing bodily injury to his own family member.

President Obama's Apology

As we all look forward to the World Cup Final match, USA vs. JAPAN, Obama tweeted an apology that, "Sorry I can't be there to see you play, but I'll be cheering you on from here." Members of the Soccer Team invited President Obama to today's game in Frankfurt Germany, but the president could not make it.

Abby Wambach

Since childhood Abby Wambach has always been into Soccer, playing with adults and older siblings is not challenge for her at all. And now as an adult her fight is for respect and attention and now as the US makes it to the World Cup Finals against Japan. The 31 year old forward using her now famous noggin to tie Brazil in the last few seconds of a Quarterfinal Match, and beat France in the late stages of Semifinals.

Kobe Bryant (NBA)

NBA star guard Kobe Bryant is no longer the favourite male athlete in America in 2011, while fellow basketball representative LeBron James fell out of the top favourites, according to a poll

The Los Angeles Lakesrs’ Bryant slipped to No. 3 and was replaced by baseball star Derek Jeter, while golfer Tiger Woods, who had tied with Bryant for the top spot last year, dropped to No. 5, following his personal troubles.
